The arrangement has a safety device with a contact element (20) i.e. pressure strip, that is provided in a region of a closure edge (22) of a movable door leaf (14). A brake device (24) stays in effective connection with the contact element. Movement of the leaf is decelerated during pressurization of the contact element against a closing direction (S) of the leaf. The device has a brake element moved between a brake position and a release position. The brake element is pressed against a friction surface in the brake position and spaced at a distance from the surface in the release position.
