PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of more effectively preventing the appearance of a boundary line of images. SOLUTION: A CCD imager 14 has an imaging face having a plurality of partial imaging areas formed therein and channels CH1 and CH2 corresponding to the plurality of partial imaging areas respectively. A gain difference between two partial images output from channels CH1 and CH2 is suppressed by LUTs 28r, 28g, and 28b. Two partial images having the suppressed gain difference are coupled together by a memory control circuit 38. A CPU 30 detects the gain difference between two partial images subjected to suppression processing, with respect to a low luminance range and subjects the detected gain difference to interpolating operation processing to correct low luminance set values of the LUTs 28r, 28g, and 28b. The CPU 30 detects respective gains of two partial images subjected to suppression processing, with respect to a high luminance range and subjects the detected gains to extrapolating operation processing to correct high luminance set values of LUTs 28r, 28g, and 28b.
