The magazine has a supply unit that is provided for unused test strips and a drop off unit for used test strips. The drop-off unit is driven for fast-forwarding of the test strips. An integrated flat spring (28) and a sealing (17) are provided for holding the test strips under tension. The brake unit exerts a brake force on the test strip, where the brake unit engages at a coil body.
