<p>The index pin (5) is guided in a linear motion by a ball or roller cage guide (13). Precision ground and hardened guide bushing (6) of the index pin is guided in a load-bearing contact and in a front plate (4) by a frictional shifting process of the ball or roller. The ball or roller cage guide and the guide bushing are protected by a locking ring (12) for limiting the travel.</p>
