The shaft sealing has sealing rings (11, 13) i.e. Simmerrings(RTM: Not defined) inserted into annular gaps (12a, 14a), where the sealing rings comprise a sealing projection made of a viscoelastic material i.e. PTFE. The sealing rings are fixed at an external housing (2) and a sealing ring contact at cylinder bearing surfaces (12, 14) of a rotor shaft (4) provided on height of the sealing rings, so that the sealing projection touches on the cylinder bearing surfaces when the rotor shaft rotates in the external housing. The external housing is sealed outward at the rotor shaft.
