The method involves supplying a binding agent (5) and a steam (6) to a nozzle, where the binding agent and the steam are separated from each other. The binding agent and the steam are mixed within the nozzle in a mixing chamber (7) to a steam-binding agent mixture. An opening (16) between the mixing chamber and a transport tube (1) is varied in or at the nozzle by a control device (4) and an adjustment head operatively connected with the control device to control and regulate amount of the binding agent introduced in to the transport tube. An independent claim is also included for a device for binding of chips, fibers or fiber like material in a mixing device.
