<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed tray automatic selection system, and image forming device capable of smoothly changing a plurality of paper feed trays when feeding paper sheets by changing the paper feed trays, and enhancing the continuity of the paper feeding operation. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of paper feed trays to meet the attribute of a paper sheet of the designate paper sheet size out of the plurality of paper feed trays are set as objective trays for automatic selection (S4), and any one of the plurality of paper feed trays set to the objective trays when forming an image are automatically selected to feed paper sheets (S5, S6).
