The workpiece is manufactured by a layer construction process and reinforced by a reinforcement component. The reinforcement component is connected with a layer component in a form-fit manner, where the layer component and the reinforcement component form a function unit. The layer component is formed such that friction between the layer component and the reinforcement component is increased. A movement of the reinforcement component transverse to a force effect direction is controlled by molding of the layer component. Fabric, fleece or strand is used as the reinforcement component.
