The invention relates to a friction clutch (30) comprising a wear adjuster that compensates for wear in the form of incorrect spacing between the pressure plate (31) and the pressing plate (32) as a result of an abrasion of clutch friction linings, in that the incorrect spacing between the disk spring (35) and the pressing plate is compensated for by means of a ramp device (37). To this end, the ramp device and the pressing plate are coupled to one another by means of a positive connection, which is temporarily suspended in order to compensate for the incorrect spacing, only when said incorrect spacing has been detected by a position sensor (41).
