The invention relates to a carriage for an underground recovery plough, comprising a carriage body that can be introduced into a cavity in the plough body and which comprises a front part (11) on the rear side of a guide recess (17). The ends of said front part point in the direction of travel form stop surfaces (12) that interact with counter stop surfaces in the cavity of the plough body. According to the invention, a damping device (20) acting in both directions of travel in a damping manner is integrated into the front part (11) of the traction carriage (10). The aim of the invention is to provide a low-maintenance damping device that allows an economical transmission of force between the stop surface on the traction carriage and the counter stop surface on the plough body. Said aim is achieved by virtue of the fact that the coupling piece (14) is displaced in relation to the stop surfaces (12) counter to the restoring force of a damping system of the damping device (20) that is arranged between the stop surfaces (12).
