SALEN TRANSITION METAL COMPLEX, AND A METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A salen transition metal complex is provided to improve antioxidant activity by introducing ethylene glycol group. CONSTITUTION: A salen transition metal complex compound is denoted by chemical formula 1, 2, 3, or 4. A method for preparing the salen transition metal complex compound comprises: a step of reacting benzaldehyde compound protected with benzyl group with boronic acid compound by Suzuki cross-coupling method to obtain a compound of chemical formula 34; a step of reacting the compound of chemical formula 34 with tosylated alkylene glycol monoalkylether to obtain a compound of chemical formula 35; a step of removing benzyl group from the compound of chemical formula 35 to obtain a compound of chemical formula 36; and a step of reacting the compounds of chemical formulas 35 and 37 with a transition metal compound under salt containing halogen atom.
