Disclosed is an antibacterial artificial hair. Also disclosed is an antibacterial coating agent for an artificial hair. The antibacterial artificial hair comprises an artificial hair and organic resin particles adhered on the artificial hair. The organic resin particles are powderized microparticles comprising an organic resin and an aluminum salt which is chemically bound to the organic resin. The antibacterial coating agent is intended to be used for an artificial hair, and comprises an aqueous medium and the above-mentioned organic resin particles dispersed in the aqueous medium. The antibacterial artificial hair has gloss and feel like a human hair and an antibacterial property by the action of the organic resin particles containing the aluminum salt.
