<p>The closure plate (1) comprises a bayonet closure, which is arranged in the interior of the closure plate. A flap (3) is provided, which is pivoted at the bayonet closure with a safety rope (11) for connecting the flap with the standpipe of the hydrant. The safety rope is guided through an opening (9) in the edge (7) of the flap. The opening is formed in the edge of the flap as a slot running parallel to the front surface. The slot has a larger tangential length at the outer side of the edge than at its inner side.</p>
