METHOD FOR A MESH ROUTER TO SELECT ITS SERVING INTERNET GATEWAY IN A WIRELESS MESH NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for a mesh router to select serving internet gateway in a wireless mesh network are provided to enable MR to use information of location between the current oneself position and servicing IGW(Internet Gateway) when the serving IGW is determined, thereby preventing load to be increased to a new service IGW. CONSTITUTION: Each IGW(Internet Gateway) in a WMN(Wireless Mesh Network) reports their congestion level to MRs(Mesb Routers). If the MR determines the congestion level of their serving IGW is above the certain threshold value, the MR determines the serving IGW is congested. The MR determines a new IGWs. The MR obtains the change probability to each IGW. The MR selects the new service IGWs according to a relative size of the change probability value.
