PURPOSE: A seed producing method and a grinding wheel therefor are provided to prevent the polishing quality of a seed from being lowered and to improve seed productivity by processing the seed with a few times of steps. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a seed(100) used for the growth of an ingot comprises following steps. The material of the seed is provided. The outer shape of the seed is roughly ground. The outer shape of the seed is finished and cut. The seed is formed in the specific shape by using a polishing wheel(200).
