<p>Formaldehyde as a cooling medium in heat pumps which do not need any technological or structural changes, enables a for 64 % more effective operation of a pump than in the application of a standard cooling medium such as 1,1,1,2- tetrafluoroethane. For 11 % to 29 % less exterior heat (obtained from the air) is required at the same inflow (0 degrees Celsius) and outflow temperature (5 degrees Celsius) of the cooling medium. Furthermore, for 64.2 % more heat for heating of premises is obtained, because the temperature after compression is for 10 degrees Celsius higher in the case of formaldehyde at the same compressor power, only that the compression is carried out at 1.95 bar in the case of formaldehyde and not at 4 bar as in the case of the standard cooling medium.</p> |
