PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to prevent short between a common electrode and data link. CONSTITUTION: A data line(115) is connected to the source and drain of a transistor included in a display area. The data line is routed up to a contact area adjacent to the display area. The data line is located in an upper layer than a data link line. The data line is separated from the data link line. A contact electrode(118) is located in the contact area. The contact electrode electrically connects the data link line with the data line.
