METHOD OF MANUFACTURING OPTICAL LAMINATE, OPTICAL LAMINATE, POLARIZATION PLATE AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical laminate, by which the optical laminate having high light resistance, corrosion resistance and transparency and small environmental load is obtained.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the optical laminate having a light transmissive base material and a hard coat layer includes a step of applying a composition for forming the hard coat layer which contains a carbazole compound and urethane (metha)acrylate and/or (metha) acrylate on a light transmissive base material to form the hard coat layer, wherein the urethane (metha)acrylate and/or the (metha) acrylate has ≥3 functional groups and the ratio (A/B) of the content (A) of the carbazole compound to the content (B) of the urethane (metha)acrylate and/or the (metha) acrylate is 0.5/9.5 to 8/2 by mass of solid portion.
