<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in communication quality due to an increase in the number of standby antennas in a system for using a plurality of antennas for transmitting a quality measurement reference signal. <P>SOLUTION: In the radio communication system 10 includes: a first communication device 100 equipped with three or more antennas, and a second communication device 200 for receiving data transmitted by the first communication device, the first communication device transmits reference signals for measuring the quality of a propagation path from a transmission antenna used for data transmission and a part of standby antennas other than the transmission antenna from among the antennas. The second communication device is equipped with a transmission antenna deciding section for deciding the antenna used, when the first communication device transmits the data, from the quality of a propagation path which is calculated from a reference signal transmitted by the transmission antenna and the quality of a propagation path which is calculated by the reference signal transmitted by the part of the standby antennas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
