<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for reducing resonance by harmonic distortion in a high-voltage power system. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a voltage damper 42, connected between a cable and a ground connection of the high-voltage power system. The voltage damper is structured to clamp a voltage peak.
