PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample vessel for simply removing a liquid sample attached to a dispensing probe before it is dispensed, a dispensing apparatus, a dispensing method, and an analyzer. SOLUTION: In the sample vessel, the dispensing apparatus, the dispensing method, and the analyzer, the liquid sample containing a specimen or a reagent is held, sucked by the dispensing probe inserted from an insertion opening, and discharged to the other vessel. A specimen vessel 9 is provided with a droplet capturing section 9b for capturing a droplet of the liquid sample attached to a lower end of the dispensing probe on the inner surface in the vicinity of the insertion opening 9a by a surface tension.
