PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting and grinding oil, and a method for cutting and grinding, sufficiently prolonging tool life even with small amount used, and applicable to a workpiece material comprising iron alloy such as stainless steel. SOLUTION: The cutting and grinding oil 1 is supplied to a part to be processed during cutting or grinding process of a metal workpiece 3 using a tool 2.
