PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a composite image more readable by processing individual medical images in the composite image. SOLUTION: A width value and a height value of a medial image is calculated by a computer including a storage means 2, a display means 4 and an operating means 6. Concerning two sheets of medical images arranged adjacent to each other right and left, combined and displayed (S15), a right and left combined line M on the adjacent sides is computed based on the calculated width values W, and stored in association with the composite image (S13), and the position coordinates of a pointer are acquired on the composite image displayed on the display means 4. An image region to be subjected to image processing is discriminated depending on which image region delimited by the right and left combined line the position coordinates are included in (S17), and the discriminated medical image is processed to save the processing result together with the right and left combined line in the storage means 2 (S19).
