摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of light leak current while enabling high-definition image display by forming wiring or the like of a material of a small electric resistance value, in an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: This electro-optical device includes a substrate (10), a data line (6) and scanning line (11) crossing each other, a pixel electrode (9) disposed in this crossing, a transistor (30) including (i) a semiconductor film having a channel region (1a') having a channel length along one direction and (ii) a gate electrode (3a), a shading section (11b) arranged on the gate electrode, and a lower-part capacitive electrode (72) formed on a lower layer side of the pixel electrode. First and second insulation films are provided with a contact hole (801) having a first part for connecting the shading section to the gate electrode, and a second part that extends in the other direction and connects the shading section to the scanning line near the semiconductor film.
