<p>The apparatus (1) has an input opening (3) for the introduction of the documents (A, B) to be scanned, and an output receptacle (4) for receiving the documents (A, B) as they are scanned, at least one scanner unit (11) for scanning at least one side of the documents (A, B), and a conveyor mechanism (6-10) for conveying sequentially, one at a time, the documents from the input opening (3) to the output receptacle (4), said documents passing in front of the scanner unit (11). The conveyor mechanism (6-10) is designed to deposit in the output receptacle (4) a document (B) so as to be arranged behind the preceding document (A), without changing the position thereof with respect to the position when introduced into the apparatus (1). The apparatus (1) also has an auxiliary receptacle adjacent to the output receptacle (4), and transfer means (20) for picking up each scanned document (A, B) as it reaches the output receptacle (4) and transferring it to the auxiliary receptacle (5), without changing the position thereof such that in the auxiliary receptacle (5) the scanned documents (A, B) are ordered in the same sequence as when introduced into the apparatus (1).</p> |
