<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize control information of CPRM, etc., in an electronic apparatus adopting a file system and a cache system. <P>SOLUTION: When reading access is performed to predetermined different memory blocks A1, A2, A3, ..., An, a controller 203 shifts to a state 1, through the use of a control program constituted of firmware stored in a non-volatile memory area 202, so as to transmit an affirmative response to an electronic apparatus. When writing is performed in a memory block B in the state 1, secret information is connected to the writing data, hash calculation is performed, and then, content data is written in the prescribed registry of a volatile memory 204. Then, a shift is made to the state 2.
