PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner allowing easy maintenance and cleaning as its heat exchanger can be washed with water, allowing an air-intake window to be formed on a side plate of a body casing on a side where refrigerant piping, etc., connected to the heat exchanger is installed, and capable of efficiently sucking air from the window. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner 1, a refrigerant piping installation space part 32 for communicating a primary side space 19 and a secondary side space 20 is formed beside the heat exchanger 9 in a ventilation passage so as to install the refrigerant piping 23 connected to the heat exchanger 9. The refrigerant piping installation space part 32 is provided in the secondary side space 20 of the heat exchanger 9. The refrigerant piping 23 in the refrigerant piping installation space part 32 is guided to a lower part of the body casing 8 at a position near a lower part of the heat exchanger 9, and a place of the refrigerant piping installation space part 32 facing to the primary side space 19 is blocked by a blocking plate 24.
