PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine that has a group-selection selling mode for selling commodities in units of commodity groups at random and an individual-selection selling mode under either normal or special condition, and allowing a plurality of commodity groups to be set, while allowing only limited kinds of commodities to be sold in the individual-selection selling mode. SOLUTION: A commodity display unit 4 for the group-selection selling mode, where commodity samples 3 of a plurality of kinds of commodities grouped as commodity groups are displayed, and a commodity display unit 5 for the individual-selection selling mode, are provided. An operation button 6 for the group-selection selling mode and a commodity selecting button 7 for the individual-selection selling mode, corresponding to each commodity sample display position of the commodity display unit 5 for the individual-selection selling mode, are provided. In the group-selection selling mode, commodities are sold without user selection among from the same plurality of kinds of commodities, and in the individual-selection selling mode, the commodity selected by the user is sold at a price different from that in the group-selection selling mode.
