PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antenna apparatus capable of preventing the degradation of radiation characteristics. SOLUTION: The antenna apparatus includes a strip conductor at one end of a dielectric substrate 15 and a ground conductor, and includes: microstrip lines 10a, 10b which are connected to a feed circuit; baluns 11a, 11b consisting of a strip conductor obtained by forming part of the microstrip lines in the shape of a taper, and the ground conductor; parallel two wire lines 12a, 12b which transmit radio waves from the microstrip lines through the baluns; a metal plate 14 through which there is provided an aperture for penetrating the microstrip lines and the baluns; and a conductor 21 which electrically connects the ground conductor and the metal plate, wherein there are provided antenna elements 13a, 13b at ends of the parallel two wire lines at opposite sides of the baluns, and when a wavelength of an operating frequency is set toλ, the conductor 21 is arranged so that an electric length of a closed circuit 22 formed by the ground conductor, the metal plate and the conductor may be set to substantiallyλ/2.
