SHEET FOLDING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME, AND SHEET FOLDING METHOD

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding apparatus obtaining a suitably reinforced fold line regardless of a thickness of a sheet bundle and without damaging the sheet bundle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sheet folding apparatus includes a folding unit which folds a center of the sheet bundle to form the fold line, and a reinforce roller 51 which moves along the fold line while applying pressure to the fold line to reinforce the fold line. The reinforce roller 51 includes sub-rollers 52 and 53 which are concentrically coupled in the rotation axial direction, and the respective sub-rollers 52 and 53 apply different pressures to the fold line.
