PURPOSE: A method for selecting optimal heavy metal adsorption condition to gram-positive bacteria is provided to confirm correlation between biosorption ability and metal ion. CONSTITUTION: A QICAR modeling is used for selecting optimal condition and optimal adsorption by confirming maximum biosorption(qmax) of a heavy metal to gram-positive bacteria of Bacillus, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus based on pH concentration, contact time, and contact temperature. The QICAR modeling satisfies equation 1, qmax=0.101+0.11(X2mr) (R2=0.69, AIC=-3.98) using covalent index. In equation, qmax is maximum biosorption ability, X2mr is covalent index, R2 is coefficient of determination, and AIC is Akaike Information Criterion. The gram positive bacteria is Staphylococcus saprophyticus BMSZ711 strain (deposit number: KCTC 11407BP). |
