ALKALINE DRY BATTERY

An alkaline dry battery having excellent pulse discharge characteristics at high load, which exhibits stable performance against drop impact, vibrations and the like. The alkaline dry battery contains, in a bottomed cylindrical battery case (8), a hollow cylindrical positive electrode (2), a negative electrode (3) arranged in the hollow portion of the positive electrode (2), a separator (4) arranged between the positive electrode (2) and the negative electrode (3), and an alkaline electrolyte solution.  The negative electrode (3) has a hollow cylindrical skeleton part (11) composed of porous zinc, and a gel part (12) arranged in the hollow portion of the skeleton part (11) and composed of zinc particles and a gel electrolyte solution.  A collector pin (6) formed of a metal is arranged in the gel part (12).
