A connector assembly (10, 30, 70) for connecting an airway device to a gas supply, said connector comprising: (10, 30, 70) (i) a first connection means (11, 31, 71) adapted to connect to a gas supply line; (ii) a second connection means (12, 32, 72) adapted to connect to an airway device, said second connection means (12, 32, 72) incorporating a substantially tubular sleeve adapted to connect to the airway device, the first (11, 31, 71) and second (12, 32, 72) connection means being in substantially fluid tight connection with each other; (iii) a flange (14, 34, 74), extending radially outwardly from the first connection means (11, 31, 71); wherein the connector assembly (10, 30, 70) further comprises a bite protector (13, 33, 73), extending from said flange (14, 34) and axially spaced away from and shrouding part or all of the second connection means (12, 32, 72).
