PURPOSE: A method of driving a light source, a light source device for performing the method, and a display device with the same are provided to efficiently drive light emitting blocks. CONSTITUTION: A switching unit(380) selectively transfers a driving voltage applied to an output channel to driving blocks connected through switching elements. When a specific light emitting block which can drive with higher brightness than brightness corresponding gray data of an image signal exists, a switching controller(390) turns on switching element connected to the specific driving block of the specific light emitting block. The switching controller turns off switching elements connected to another driving block. The switching controller increases brightness of the specific light emitting block.
