PURPOSE: A method for reporting information on a neighboring cell is provided to enable a cell in a measurement report message to an identified location as an index number, thereby reducing cell identifiers. CONSTITUTION: The first measurement report message is transmitted to a serving cell(S112). The first measurement report message comprises a measurement result about at least one neighboring cell. After one or more cells are indexed, the indexed cells are saved. The second measurement report message is transmitted to the serving cell(S113). The second measurement report message comprises a new measurement result about the neighboring cell. The second measurement report message comprises an index.
