<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive composition that forms a conductive material with improved heat resistance, in consideration of application to a capacitor or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The conductive composition for a capacitor electrode contains a water-soluble conductive polymer (A) having a sulfonic acid group and/or a carboxy group, a basic compound (B), and a solvent (C). The component (B) may be contained in the conductive composition as a residue of an oxidative polymerization of a monomer used as a raw material of the component (A), such as acid group-substituted aniline, in a solution, or the same or different basic compound may be added to the conductive composition other than the residue. In view of heat resistance, it is preferred to add the same or different basic compound to the conductive composition in addition to the component (B) used in the polymerization of the component (A).
