<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of breakage and abnormal overheating due to excess current, excess voltage, or the like, as an unexpected external apparatus is connected without impairing flexibility of connection of an external apparatus, in an electronic apparatus having a function of supplying power through a power supply terminal with respect to an external apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: If a connection detection circuit 34 detects that a power supply terminal 2a is connected to power-fed side apparatuses Y1, Y2, and if a power feed permission condition is met that the presence of a candidate of an external apparatus supporting EDID (extended display identification data) acquired from the power-fed side apparatuses Y1, Y2 through a DDC terminal 1d is shown in external apparatus candidate information D1 that is previously stored in an EEPROM22, a microcomputer 21 outputs DC power to the power supply terminal 2a from an external feed circuit; and if the power feed permission condition is not met, the microcomputer stops output of DC power to the power supply terminal 2a from the external feed circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
