PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of processing interest regions on analysis of biological samples. SOLUTION: After prepared biological samples are submitted to liquid-chromatography/mass spectrometry equipment, digital images are produced that show variations. Some of these variations are of interest while others are not of interest. Variations in regions of interest can be connected each other and correlation scores produced to classify biological features aid in scientific discovery. Meanwhile, shape properties of variations can also be calculated by geometric scores. A micro-alignment method aids the correlation calculation without resorting to macro-alignment.
