PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus which electronically selects a focal position by utilizing the chromatic aberration of a lens. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus comprises a sensor unit 21 and a focusing control circuit 23. The focusing control circuit 23 comprises: a contour extraction circuit 232 which extracts contour signals from wavelength signals of W, B, G, B; a contour signal selection circuit 234 to which a control signal PSEL and contour signals Ew, Eb', Eg', Er' extracted by the contour extraction circuit are supplied and which selects and outputs a contour signal PEw of a desired wavelength band according to the control signal PSEL; and an addition circuit 236 which adds each of wavelength signals prior to extracting the contour signals through the contour extraction circuit and a contour signal outputted from a contour signal output circuit.
