<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display the symbol variation of a low appearance frequency by a high frequency by the selection of a player; and to prevent the decrease of the fun of the symbol variation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The game machine is provided with: a symbol display device 23 where the symbol variation of a plurality of variation symbols is displayed; and a means for selecting the variation symbol of the symbol variation beforehand. The symbol display device 23 is provided with a first display area 23a and a second display area 23b. When it is determined to display prescribed symbol variation at the symbol display device 23 by drawing, the drawn symbol variation is displayed in the first display area 23a, and the symbol variation selected by the player is displayed in the second display area 23b.
