PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for an organic EL display element where the organic EL display element is not degraded by moisture from the color filter without forming a barrier layer, and to provide an organic EL display element where an organic EL layer is not degraded by moisture from the color filter. SOLUTION: This color filter for the organic EL display element is heated from 25°C to 240°C at a pressure of 3.0×10<SP>-6</SP>Pa, and the amount of moisture obtained when it is held at 240°C for 30 minutes is 3.5μg/cm<SP>2</SP>.
