<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cold delay in starting by increasing frequency of starting with maximum capacity while preventing abnormal high pressure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This supercritical refrigeration cycle device includes a temperature-sensing section temperature sensor 12A measuring and detecting temperatures Tk of temperature sensing sections 43-45 of an expansion valve 5, an air-conditioning control device 20 controls a compressor 1 to start under "the maximum capacity start" to immediately bring a discharge capacity of the compressor 1 into a maximum state in a case when a refrigerant pressure Ph detected by a pressure sensor 14 is less than a prescribed value α and/or the temperatures of the temperature-sensing sections 43-45 detected by the temperature-sensing section temperature sensor 12A is less than a prescribed value β in starting the compressor from a stop state. Thus the cold delay in starting can be improved by increasing the frequency of start under the "maximum capacity start", as a condition startable under the "maximum capacity start" is kept when the temperatures Tk of the temperature-sensing sections 43-45 of the expansion valve 5 are low, even when the refrigerant pressure Ph detected by the pressure sensor 14, that is, an internal pressure in the refrigeration cycle is high in starting the refrigeration cycle.
