<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress storage capacity required for storing multiple correction information used for correcting density unevenness occurring in an image that is formed on an image forming medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A CPU70 derives amounts of difference between values for respective pixels composing read reference image information that a reference image formed on recording paper is read based on the reference image information and values for respective pixels composing the reference image information, for every respective pixel. Then, HDD76 stores LUTs for correcting the pixel values included in respective unevenness correction regions when the image forming regions are sectioned into a plurality of unevenness correction regions according to the amount of difference so that adjacent pixels in a region with a predetermined difference amount are included in the same region, corresponding to respective unevenness correction regions. Next, an image correction section 98 corrects the values of the pixels that compose the image information and that are included in respective correction regions by using the LUTs corresponding to respective correction regions based on stored content that is stored to the HDD76 and the image information that indicates the image formed on the recording paper.
