<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door holding device capable of preventing a door holding state from being released unintendedly after installation by enlarging an allowance range of the misalignment of a door after installation, and capable of reducing a burden for installing work. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A device body 10 includes a locking reference face 41 for positioning a tool 11 to be locked in a locking depth direction by abutting on a locking part 32 of the tool 11 to be locked when the locking part locks the tool 11 to be locked, the tool to be locked is freely movable along the locking depth direction, and energized unidirectionally along the locking depth direction to abut on the locking reference face 41, the device body 10 includes also a guide cam face 42 capable of abutting on the tool 11 to be locked over the prescribed range of a locking depth, and guiding the tool 11 to be locked toward the locking reference face 41 accompanied by the relative approaching operation of one door 2 to the other door 1.
