The device has a pump (2) connected with a storage container (1) over a pipeline (3) and connected with an outlet nozzle (5) over another pipeline (4). An air collecting element (6) i.e. venturi nozzle, permeates milk with air, and the outlet nozzle is provided with a detachable filter (7). The filter has layers arranged one above the other, and a heat exchanger (8) heats the milk and arranged in a flow direction of the milk behind the air collecting element. Another heat exchanger cools the milk to 6 degree Celsius and arranged in the flow direction of the milk. An independent claim is also included for a method for frothing cold beverage.
