The device (1) has a cylinder device(10) supplied with pressure or a regulated electric motor by which training force for a user (B) of a training device (T) is generated. An outlet of the cylinder device or the electric motor is connected with an end of a force transfer element (2), and the user of the training device is supplied with the training force by the transfer element. The cylinder device exhibits a thrust cylinder (11) or a pneumatic cylinder supplied with excess pressure. An expansion tank is arranged between an excess pressure production unit (15) and a piston chamber (12). The regulated electric motor is formed as a force-regulated linear motor. An independent claim is also included for a training device.
