PURPOSE: A digital image processing apparatus and a motion method thereof are provided to enable customized work as a user directly set up the relation between a gesture image and a gesture motion. CONSTITUTION: A gesture graphic selecting unit(39-1) receives a gesture graphic selecting signal to be applied. A gesture motion selecting unit(39-2) receives the gesture motion selecting signals of a user. A gesture editing unit(39-3) edits the mapping relation of the gesture motion and the gesture graphic changed by the input of a confirm button of a gesture editing step. If user directly inputs the graphic to the display unit(23), the gesture graphic is created. The digital image processing processor maps the gesture motion of wanting in the gesture graphic.
