PURPOSE: A high pressure fuel pump is provided to prevent the compression resistance generated in the space formed between the inner projection of the chamber and the tappet sliding up and down in the chamber. CONSTITUTION: A high pressure fuel pump comprises one or more air channels(140) and a chamber(120). A plunger(110) can reciprocate inside of the chamber. The air channels are formed on one side wall of the chamber and connect the interior side and the exterior side so that the air in the chamber is discharged to outside.
