<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refill for a composite ballpoint pen, the refill showing excellent dry-up resistant performance and good starting property upon writing in an initial period and after the lapse of time, and maintaining stable writing performance and forming good handwriting without causing thinning in handwriting or drooling. <P>SOLUTION: The refill for a composite ballpoint pen includes an ink housing tube to which a ballpoint pen chip rotatably holding a ball is attached directly or through a connecting member, the tube filled with the following aqueous ink composition for a ballpoint pen. The ink composition includes at least a pigment, water, a thixotropy-imparting agent, a thickening inhibitor selected from polyalkylene glycol and polypropylene glycol derivatives, and an ionic substance, with the content of the ionic substance in the ink being not less than 1 mass% with respect to the entire amount of the ink composition, and does not contain a water-soluble organic solvent except for the polyalkylene glycol and polypropylene glycol derivatives. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
