PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat sliding apparatus capable of improving fitting property of an operating lever without being constrained by the rotating direction of the operating lever elastically supported at a bias means. SOLUTION: A supporting bracket 31 includes a support wall part 36 in a plate form, in which an operating lever 51 is inserted along a longitudinal direction of an upper rail, the plate-like support wall part 36 working as a rotating fulcrum of the operating lever 51 at an abutting part on an upper part of the operating lever 51. In the upper part of the operating lever 51, a slit-like support groove 53 is formed, in which a torsion spring 41 (an anchoring strip 43a) extends in a direction perpendicular to an inserting direction of the operating lever 51 and is anchored on a locking lever side of a support wall part 36 in the longitudinal direction of the upper rail. The support wall part 36 includes an inclined wall part 36a opposed to the upper part of the operating lever 51, with a width of the inclined wall part 36a being widened compared to a width of the support groove 53 in the insertion direction of the operating lever 51 in an area of the support groove 53 in the direction perpendicular to the inserting direction of the operating lever 51.
